Club Baggerbeest is the bar and club of Broedplaats Baggerbeest, the cultural anchor of the new Sluisbuurt district on Zeeburgereiland in Amsterdam. The breeding ground, whose name refers to an amphibious creature that crawled out of the IJ mud, brings the area to life with a cosy bar, a hall for programming, a neighbourhood atelier and dozens of workspaces for artists and creative businesses. The club serves stone oven pizzas and organic wines, with live music, club nights and cultural events on the programme.
