Bunk Amsterdam is a hotel, hostel and restaurant in the monumental Roman-Catholic Saint Rita church at Hagedoornplein 2 in Amsterdam-Noord, just minutes from the free ferry across the IJ. The church, built in 1921 and bombed in 1943, was re-designed by Bunk to meet the standards of today's travellers, with an open-air monument honouring its history. Guests and locals come for the terrace, affordable dinners from local seasonal ingredients at long communal tables, and a programme of events fuelled by the local scene.
